An acne-like rash that may begin as early as 2 weeks after administration of systemic corticosteroids. In
contrast to plain acne, lesions are monomorphous (generally pustules and dome-shaped papules) and
covering the trunk, shoulders, and upper arms. A rosacea-like syndrome (including perioral dermatitis)
also can result from the indiscriminate use of potent corticosteroids on the face.
