Symptom Finder - Treatment of Hordeolum and Chalazion
HORDEOLUM AND CHALAZION
1. Warm compresses: 10–15 minutes qid.
2. Bacitracin + neomycin + polymyxin B, and hydrocortisone (Cortisporin) ophthalmic ointment: apply qid to eyelids.
Alternatively may use Cortisporin ophthalmic drops q2–3hrs.
Bacitracin + neomycin + polymyxin B ophthalmic ointment may also be used.
3. If lesion persists, refer to ophthalmologist.
