Biliary colic is a rhythmic pain which is caused by the contraction of the gallbladder against a gallstones or against the gallstones which present in the cystic duct. Biliary colic is aggravated by fatty foods. The fatty foods will stimulate pancreatic release of cholecystokinin that causes the contraction of the gallbladder.
