Diabetes Mellitus Type 2
The common symptom and sings are polyuria and polydipsia.
The risk factors for developing diabetes mellitus type 2 are obesity and strong family history.
Patient may also develop sign of acanthosis nigricans or present with glucosuria ( glucose in the urine).
Other investigations require include measurement of the insulin level, c-peptide level, ketones and HbA1c.
Patient may require life activity modification such as considering regular exercise,metformin or insulin.
