Richter’s hernia is also known as nipped hernia, partial enterocele and levator hernia. Richter’s hernia occurs when the knuckle of the bowel constricted in the hernial sac’s bowel. However, obstruction of the bowel does not occur. The knuckle of bowel arises from the anti mesenteric border. Richter’s hernia mostly found in the obturator and femoral hernias.
