There are two forms of inguinal hernia that are direct inguinal hernia and indirect inguinal hernia. In general inguinal hernia contains small bowel. Indirect inguinal hernia. Indirect inguinal hernia is caused by the weakness at the deep ring. Pathologically, the bowel will enter the inguinal canal vai rign and later traverse the inguinal canal within the patent processus vaginalis or known as hernia sac. Scrotal extension is possible due to the bowel that exist the inguinal canal via the superficial ring and descend into the scrotum known as inguinoscrtoal hernia. Indirect inguinal hernia can be controlled after reduction of the herniated bowel by applying digital pressure over the deep ring which is 1 finger breadth lateral to the mid inguinal point which is the mid point of the inguinal ligament. Surgically, hernia is located laterally to the inferior epigastric artery.
