​Surgery Definition - What is pre medication?

Pre medication is any medication that is given in the period before the induction of anesthesia. The pre medication include, analgesics, amnesics, anxiolytics ( benzodiazepine), antacids, anti emetics such as histamine antagonist or dopamine and anti autonomics. 
Anti autonomics are important to stop any case of vagally mediated bradycardias and to reduce the secretion.
