Renal transplant
The common causes of renal transplant are polycystic kidney disease,glomerulonephritis, hypertension and diabetes.
Patient with renal transplant may present with nephrectomy scar /scar in the iliac fossa. Besides that the patient may also present with old peritoneal dialysis scar. There will be mass due to the renal transplant in the iliac fossa. The mass in the iliac fossa region is dull in nature.
Patient with renal transplant may present with the side effect of the immunosuppressants and steroids. The side effects of immunosuppressant are hypertrophy of the gum and hypertrichosis. Hypertrichosis is a growth of hair mostly in the chest and the neck.
Patient may present with thin skin and bruising/ purpura due to the use of steroid. Hands may present with dialysis fistula. Patient may also present with hypertension due to renal disorders.
