1. Tamsulosin (Flomax): 0.4–0.8 mg daily. Other α-adrenergic antagonist may be tried:
2. Finasteride (Proscar): 5 mg daily. Other 5 α-reductase inhibitors may be tried:
3. A combination of the above two groups may be tried.
4. A consult with an urologist may be wise at the outset, but is necessary if the above drugs are ineffective.
5. Check PSA yearly.
