BENIGN POSITIONAL VERTIGO
1. Epley maneuver: Start with patient sitting up and head turned 45 degrees toward the suspected affected ear. Lower head rapidly below the horizon and wait 15 seconds. Then turn the head 45 degrees to the opposite side (90-degree turn); and wait 20 seconds.
Now turn head and body together 90 degrees toward the unaffected ear and wait 30 seconds before sitting up and finishing the maneuvers.
2. Meclizine hydrochloride: 12.5–25 mg tid.
3. Diazepam (Valium): 5–10 mg tid.
