Infectious mononucleosis is a viral infection caused by Ebstein Barr Virus infection and patient with infectious mononucleosis may present with symptoms and signs such as malaise, fever, swollen of the glands such as lymphadenopathy, enlargement of the spleen and tonsillitis. Infectious mononucleosis is also known as glandular fever.
