Patient need to be in a position of C spine immobility. Assess the history of the patient which include the symptoms, previous injuries, previous operation and mechanism of injury. Clinical examination will focus on the assessment of the peripheral nervous system to elicit any unilateral or bilateral weakness, hyperreflexia, paresthesia, and hypertonia. The spine is later palpated for any swelling or abnormalities of the bone by carefully and manually remove the hard collar. Spinal movement should be avoided.
