Hip joint is also known as ball and socket joint. Hip joint is formed by acetabulum or known as pelvis and the femoral head. The hip joint is covered by the synovium. It consists of ligaments which provide stability and movement through the action of muscle. The capsule of the hip joint consists of main blood supply while hip joint facilitates the external rotation, internal rotation, adduction, abduction, extensions dn flexion movement.
