Diverticular abscess is a collection of pus in the site of the inflamed diverticulum. Patient with diverticular abscess may present with localized abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, malaise, rigors and swinging pyrexia. The investigation requires for diverticular abscess may include CT guided aspiration, antibiotic and open surgical drainage if others fail.
