FIBROMYALGIA
1. Arthritis panel including RA, ANA, sedimentation rate and CRP to
rule out other causes.
2. Psychiatric evaluation to rule out depression and other psychiatric Amitriptyline (Elavil): 50–150 mg h.s.
4. Gabapentin (Neurontin): 300–1,200 mg tid.
5. Alternatively, try tramadol (Ultram): 50–100 mg qid.
6. Pregabalin (Lyrica): 50–150 mg tid but increase slowly.
7. In persistent cases, a battery of psychometric tests may be helpful.
