Common causes of diarrhea in toddler between the age of 6 to 20 months. The diarrhea may causes by history of over feeding mostly fruit juice.
There will be an increase fluid in the stool.
The treatments of this chronic diarrhea include elimination of fruit juice and consider dietary fibers.
The differential diagnosis of chronic diarrhea of toddler are malnutrition, side effects of antibiotics, Giardia infection, Yersenia Enterolitica infection and Salmonella infection, laxative abuses, cystic fibrosis and pancreatic insufficiency.
