The complication of limb amputation may include breakdown of the flap secondary to ischemia of the flap, retraction of the flap which lead to exposure of the bone, bleeding, infection of the stump such as gas gangrene, osteomyelitis, ulceration, phantom limb pain and painful neruromas.
