Right Iliac Fossa Pain
The differential diagnosis of right iliac fossa pain / causes of right iliac fossa pain may include :
- renal pain due to renal stones, ureteric colic or urinary tract infection.
- gastrointestinal pain due to inflammatory bowel disease, children with Meckel’s
diverticulum,colorectal carcinoma, mesenteric adenitis, appendicitis,Yersinia ,constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome.
- pain from surrounding areas such as central abdominal pain, lobar pneumonia, psoas abscess, suprapubic pain, right upper quadrant pain, rectus sheath hematoma and pathology of the hip.
- reproductive pain such as ovarian cyst torsion, ovarian cyst rupture, ovarian cyst hemorrhage, ovulation pain due to Mittelschmerz, pelvic inflammatory disease / salpingitis as well as seminal vesiculitis.
