Fever
Fever is characterized in infant as the rectal temperature of 38 celcius or higher.
Medication is considered if the infant appear to be uncomfortable with fever for 39 celcius. Infant under 2 months of age should be evaluated by the clinician.
The treatment of fever may include acetaminophen for infants over 2 months.Children over 6 months may require ibuprofen.
Adolescent or child under the age of 18 should be avoided from taking aspirin as it may lead to Reye syndrome.
