Pancreatic abscess is a collection of the purulent peri pancreatic fluid. Patient with pancreatic abscess may present with swinging pyrexia. There will be tender and palpable epigastric mass. Ultrasound scan of the abdomen and CT scan are useful in detecting pancreatic abscess. The treatment of pancreatic abscess may include CT guided needle aspiration or an alternative of incision and drainage with broad spectrum intravenous antibiotic.
