Pyonephrosis is associated with Proteus and E.coli. Pyonephrosis abscess is a form of renal abscess which is retroperiontal. Pyonephrosis occurs as a result of obstruction of the pelvic ureteric junction due to pyelonephritis. This may lead to the accumulation of the pus into the hydronephrotic kidney.The treatment of pyonephrosis abscess may include percutaneous or surgical drainage which is continue later by pyeloplasty which is the surgical correction of the hydronephrosis.
