Halothane is a form of inhalation agent which is useful for induction and maintenance of anesthesia. However, inhalation agent works slower in comparison with IV agent. Halothane is a volatile liquid which an increased risk of malignant hyperpyrexia and arrhythmias and halothane hepatitis may present due to repeated dose.
