The types of C spine films need to be order include AP C spine film, lateral film and odontoid peg film. On lateral film, it is important to include C7 / T1 junction. If it is difficult to obtain C7/T1 junction considered manual traction on the arm of the patient interiorly or swimmer’s view or trauma oblique where the image is taken with the shoulder being abducted to 140 degrees. If C spine film is could not give a sufficient view, consider CT scan of the spine with cranial scan.
