Antibiotic should be administered to all burn patients as the area that is burned may be colonized with bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. Swab should be taken in the regular basis. The burnt area should be inspected regularly to check for the present of cellulitis and if cellulitis present oral or topical antibiotic should be considered.
