Acute gastritis may present with epigastric pain with or without hematemesis. The causes of acute gastritis are stress, trauma, shock, sepsis, prolonged intubation, Cushing’s ulcer or brain damage and Curling’s ulcer or sever burn, NSAIDS or alcohol.
