In case of complete rectal prolapse patient is typically frail and self reduction is considered as patient is not a good surgical candidate. Other measures may include surgical perineal approach known as Delorme’s procedure or perineal rectopexy or consider an abdominal approach such as abdominal rectopexy which carries high morbidity rates.
