What is Allen’s test ?
-it is a test of the circulation of the hand. Patient is asked to forma fist in order to drain the hand and the radial and ulnar arteries are compressed. Patient is asked to open the blanched fist. One artery is released and observed for any palmar flushing. The test is repeated for another artery.
