The differential diagnosis of left iliac fossa pain / causes of left iliac fossa pain may include :
-renal pain such as urinary tract infection, renal stones or ureteric colic
-gastrointestinal pain such as colonic carcinoma, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and diverticulitis.
-reproductive pain such as ovarian cyst, ovarian rupture, ovarian cyst torsion, ovarian hemorrhage, pelvic inflammatory disease, salpingitis, ectopic pregnancy or seminal vesiculitis in male.
-pain from adjacent area such as psoas abscess, lobar pneumonia, hip pathology, central abdominal pain and suprapubic pain as well as rectus sheath hematoma
