Hepatic injury is the common causes of intra abdominal bleeding. Hepatic injury may present as hepatic vascular injury, hematoma and laceration. Hepatic injury can be graded due to severity based on the involvement of the lobe. Surgical treatment includes packing and tamponade effect and not just direct suturing of the parenchyma. Conservative treatment may also consider. The types of treatment either surgery or conservative depends on the grade of severity and hemodynamic status.
