Branchial cyst is a lump which originates from the embryonic remnants of the 2nd branchial cleft in the region of the neck. Branchial cyst is common in young adult and branchial cyst may present as smooth swelling in front of the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle at the junction of the upper and middle third.
