Abscess
Abscess is characterized as erythematous firm tender nodule. The common differential diagnosis of abscess may include multiple follicles ( carbuncle), single follicle ( furuncle), and folliculitis ( pustule at the opening of follicle).
Abscess is associated with microorganism such as staphylococci.
The treatment may include incision, drainage and aspirates the abscess. Other treatment may include adjuvant antibiotics which are used in treating cases of abscess in feverish and immunocompromised patient.
