Lobectomy
Lobectomy is a procedure that involve removal part of the lung or lobes of the lung. The common indications for lobectomy are malignancy and bronchiectasis. Malignancy / tumor is resected if the patient is under the stage 1 or stage 2 of the tumor progression, the tumor should be more than 2 cm from the carina, No pleural involvement and no effusion.
Hand of the patient will be clubbing if trachea deviated towards the affected sides. There will be reduction in the expansion of the affected area with flatted chest wall. Produce minimal signs that pneumonectomy due to the availability of the remaining lung to expand and replace the lobe that has been removed.
