Differential diagnosis of cow’s milk intolerance are infectious colitis and celiac disease.
Cow’s milk intolerance common in male than female with loose mucoid stools or flecks of blood in stool.
The rectal biopsy may reveal lymphonodular hyperplasia, eosinophilia and mucosal edema.
There is also family history of atopy.
The treatment may inlcude protein hydrolysate formula and eliminating any sources of protein.
