Cleft Lip and Palate.
Cleft lip and palate may present with defect or missing tissue or notch of the palate / roof of the mouth or lip which take place during fetal development where facial parts are forming.
Cleft lip and palate may posses a threat to the cosmetic facial esthetics problems,dental problems and oronatal communication.
Cleft lift and palate may require multiple disciplinary team which consists of pediatrician, ENT, orthodontist, dentist, plastic surgeon and oral surgeon.
The treatment may include introduction of Haberman Nipple to stimulate bottle feeding, surgical correction for lip and palate closure and palatal obturator for feeding.
