The complications of acute pancreatitis are pseudocyst, phlegnon, adult respiratory distress syndrome, ascites, pleural effusion, abscess, necrosis which lead to hemorrhagic pancreatitis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, renal failure, multi organ failure, encephalopathy, splenic arterial thrombosis, mesenteric artery thrombosis and portal vessel thrombosis or rupture, systemic inflammatory response syndrome, sepsis and diabetes.
