Primary amenorrhea is the condition where menstrual period never occur at puberty. The common causes of primary amenorrhea may include the absence of ovaries and uterus, hormonal imbalance and Turner’s Syndrome which is the genetic defect. Primary amenorrhea is diagnosed when by the age of 16 years menarche has not occurred but the secondary sexual characteristic is normally developed usually by the age of 14 years old.
