Anaphase is the third stage of mitosis. Anaphase is also linked with meiosis in the form of anaphase I and anaphase II.
In anaphase I of the meiosis the pairs of the homologous chromosomes are separated from each other.
In anaphase II of the meiosis and in mitosis, the chromatids separate later becoming daughter chromosomes. they will move apart along the spindle fibers towards the opposite end of the cells.
