Amino acid is an organic compound. Amino acid containes a carboxyl group ( -COOH) and amino group (-NH2). Amino acids are the building elements of the protein. Amino acid can be categorized as essential amino acids which is those that cannot be formed or synthesized by the body and non essential amino acid which can be synthesized by the body suhc as aspartic acid, alanine and glutamic acid. There are few amino acids which are found in the body but could not discovered in the protein such as taurine, citrulline, ornithine and gamma aminobutyric acid.
