Amblyopia ex anopsia is related to the factors such as cataracts, squints and abnormalities of the optics of the eye which impair the normal function of the eye in early childhood as these conditions prevent the formation of clear image on the retina. Amblyopia ex anopsia may later lead to cortical visual impairment.
