Aerophagia is the act of swallowing of the air which may be done voluntarily to stimulate action of belching or involuntarily due to rapid act of drinking or eating or as a habit. Voluntary action of aerophgia is considered to allow esophageal speech after removal of the larynx surgically in case of cancer.
