Abatacept is a biological agent or known as Orencia which is considered to inhibit the overactive of the stimulation of T lymphocytes of the immune response. Abatacept is a useful agent in treating and managing any cases of rheumatoid arthritis ranging from moderate to severe as well as treating swelling and pain of the joint and prevent any damage to the joint. Abatacept may be administered by self subcutaneous injection or via intravenous infusion.
