Alkalosis is a condition where the alkaline level in the tissue or body raise to an abnormally high level. The common causes of alkalosis is due to the failure of the mechanism which involves in balancing the acid and alkaline in the arterial blood. Alkalosis may occur due to the acid losses through vomiting or excessive intake of the sodium bicarbonate. Alkalosis may produce symptoms of muscular weakness. Deep breathing due to excessive amount of physical exercise may lead to respiratory alkalosis.
