Acute Gastroenteritis
The common symptoms and signs of acute gastroenteritis may include fever, diarrhea and vomiting. The common causes of acute gastroenteritis are infection by rotavirus.
The differential diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis are urinary tract infection, increase intracranial pressure, diabetic ketoacidosis, antibiotic associated diarrhea, bacterial enteritis, malabsorption and allergy to dietary protein.
The treatment of acute gastroenteritis may include supportive care in the form of fluid and electrolyte replacement and oral rehydration
