Pediatric Definition - Enuresis
Enuresis is presented as repeated urination in bed at night or in clothes for twice in
a week for three months.
The treatment of enuresis may include education, considering awaken at night voiding and limiting liquids intake. Bed wetting alarms may be considered. Medication such as imipramine and DDAVP may be considered. Cognitive behavior therapy may also considered.
The differential diagnosis of enuresis may include familial causes, constipation, urinary tract infection, cystitis, diabetes insipidus, neurogenic bladder, seizures, diabetes mellitus and bladder functional capacity.
