Concealed rectal prolapse is also known as internal rectal prolapse. In concealed rectal prolapse, the prolapse occurs not through the anus but at the higher up in the shape of intussusception which involves the upper 1/3 third of the rectum which intussuscepting or telescoping to the lower one third of the rectum.
