Anaphylaxis is the condition due to immediate and abnormal allergic response to substance such as latex, wasp or bee stings and peanuts where the body become intensely sensitized. Patient who suffers from anaphylaxis may present with nausea and vomiting, itching, flushing, swelling of the mouth and tongue, obstruction of the airway hypotension, wheezing and sudden death. This is also known as anaphylactic shock. The treatment for anaphylaxis may include, adrenaline injection, oxygen and advanced support of the airway, intravenous corticosteroids, intravenous fluids and antihistamine.
