Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency is a form of inherited disorder due to liver and lung diseases which is linked to the alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency which is a plasma globulin that inhibit the action protease enzymes such as trypsin that protect the lungs from neutrophil elastase. Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency may lead to elastin degradation of the alveolar wall and the liver.
