Acne or acne vulgaris is the inflammatory disorder which affect the sebaceous gland.Acne mostly affect the back, face and chest and may present with papules and pustules and may progress to cysts and scars in the more severe cases. Acne is treatable with topical therapy such as benzoyl peroxide as in the mild cases while refractory or recurrent cases may be treated with long term antibiotic or oral contraceptive pills in woman. Oral isotretinoin is considered in severe or cystic acne.
